Planting details: Our Plant a Wish tree for Connecticut was a young Jeffersonian Elm (an American Elm that is resistant to Dutch Elm Disease). It was gifted to us by Tom Zetterstrom of Elm Watch, and was planted at a private residence in Wilton, CT on Wednesday, June 23rd.
We chose to plant this tree at a private residence because it needs TLC as it is still quite young and growing. The owner of the property is an avid land steward whose home is landscaped with nearly 100% native plants, trees, and grasses.
