On the leeward slopes of Maui’s Mt. Haleakala, there once stood a “cloud forest” of tropical hardwoods. In the last few centuries, man and introduced animals (cows, goats, pigs) along with a variety of other invasive species have devastated over 90% of this forest. Thanks to your help, we are bringing it back.
We do not plant saplings for this project. Rather, we work with local native tree farmers who grow the trees by hand for over one year. We believe this gives each tree a much higher chance at survival.

Each tree sponsorship includes gift cards (if you are planting the tree as a gift for someone), digital photos of your tree, and a personalized certificate to commemorate the date and exact location of the planting (will include exact GPS coordinates). Special planting requests are welcome, as we hope to personalize each sponsorship wherever possible.
