More people are planting native trees in their neighborhoods.
Local people nationwide are becoming personally invested in the trees we plant together, and are promising to plant more. Hundreds of people have signed our pledge so far, committing that they would plant at least one native tree in the coming year. 60% have already done so. 70% of participants say they became more likely to plant a native tree.
Communities are becoming more connected to the land around them.
When people take the initiative to plant more trees in their neighborhoods, they are investing in their own health and the health of all of the life around them. Plant a Wish’s emphasis on planting indigenous trees gives people a sense of place – an opportunity to learn about the local natural habitat, and the unique biodiversity and ecological history of their hometown.
