Plant a Wish is a native tree planting awareness and documentary film project founded on Earth Day 2010. Two people living in Hawaii decided to bring local communities together, hold hands-on native tree planting ceremonies in all 50 states, and tell the story of the journey in documentary film they are directing and producting. From May 2010 until November 2011, they went on tour and organized planting events around the country. They reached their goal with a state-wide tree planting event on November 5, 2011 in their home state of Hawai‘i.
Now in the post-production phase of the documentary, the Plant a Wish team asks for your support. Why? Because it’s a story that is begging to be told. You can be a part of a collaborative documentary film making effort that includes organizations and communities nationwide. Donate today and join this unprecedented movement.
You can also apply to be one of our “Virtual Interns” as the film goes through post-production.
